Project Jennifer
edt’s base on Great Homer Street lies at the heart of a
£150 million regeneration programme: Project Jennifer
The area is to undergo a major redevelopment
programme by leading regeneration specialists St Modwen,
working in partnership with Liverpool City Council.
It will provide new public buildings and open spaces,
new homes, new retail and commercial buildings and
the largest superstore in Merseyside.
   
After decades of neglect and social
exclusion in North Liverpool, it is hoped
that Project Jennifer will  assist the
local community achieve it’s social and
economic potential and put the heart
back into the area.
As an organisation that has at its core,
a commitment to community
empowerment, edt will be involved in
the regeneration of Great Homer Street.
Ensuring that local people will continue
to have access to employment
opportunities, guidance, training and
support.

Council leaders have put
compulsory purchase orders in the
Project Jennifer regeneration zone
on ice amid claims developers are
not offering local businesses
enough cash. Around 37 objections
have been lodged by firms in the
Great Homer Street area
“Once this hurdle has been cleared
and all the work that has been put
on hold can go ahead, we at edt 
will be working with St Modwen to
maximise employment and training
possibilities for North Liverpool
residents”.
