The ECDL Advanced qualification is
designed to progress your computer skills from the benchmark European
Computer Driving (ECDL) to the next level of competence
How ECDL Advanced works
It tests an individual's competence with particular computer
applications at a much higher level. It is modular based and a certificate
is awarded for successfully passing a test for each module.
Currently the ECDL Advanced is split into
4 modules:
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Database
- Presentation
Benefits of taking ECDL Advanced
ECDL Advanced will prove that an
individual's competence with computer use is well above the basic skill
level, and will help determine suitability for jobs involving computer use
at a higher level.
The extensive use of computers in many
business's today has created a variety of roles that rely on extensive
knowledge of particular computing tools. An employee holding an ECDL
Advanced certificate can prove they have the competence to effectively and
efficiently use these tools and consequently add benefit to the
organisation. It is therefore a very desirable qualification.
